what a weekend

I had the pleasure of seeing Wilco live in concert this past Friday night (Feb. 25). I had a great time. Jeff Tweedey is definitely the man. It was my first time seeing this great band and I walked away very impressed. I also ran into one of my roommates from college - that was a trip. He seemed to be doing well.

Then, on Saturday, I drove down to Columbus to see moe. with Yonder Mountain String Band. YMSB really ripped it up. They said it was the last night of their winter tour and they gave us what we needed to get this night started. Very upbeat bluegrass. For not having a drummer, they really get you movin' and groovin'.

moe. was awesome (as always). They are really on fire right now. They played 'George' (they played twelve days ago in Cleveland) and I absolutely love this song. Very different sounding for them. Closing the first set was a terrific 'Mexico' with Jeff Austin from YMSB.

Second set was fire. Seriously. Opened up with 'Enter Sandman' and had a huge segueway with 'Faker' > 'Where Does the Time Go?' > 'Dr. Graffenberg' > 'Faker'. Very impressive. The 'Happy Hour Hero' > 'Recreational Chemistry' to end the second set was absolutely insane!!! Hopefully this will be availabe to download soon, because I need to hear it again!
